Born in Québec to a Haitian father and a French Canadian mother, Nicolas has spent the past five years living in both Central America and his hometown of Montréal.
Upon completion of his BA in Mathematics at the University of Montreal, Nicolas began a career in hospitality where he built upon his natural ability to cultivate human connections through laughter and unique cultural experiences. In 2012, Nicolas traveled to El Salvador and quickly fell in love with the country. He decided to establish roots in the small surfing village of El Zonte. From there he was able to share his love for Central-American culture and its people by facilitating tours for Canadians in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica.
Nicolas is fluent in French, English, Haitian, Creole and Spanish. His impressive language learning ability is another testament to his love for creating genuine cross-cultural relationships. To recharge (at home, or abroad), Nicolas loves to surf, play soccer and eat great food with friends.
Nicolas’s educational and professional background make him the perfect addition to the Alyra team where he will be able to share the values of ecology, solidarity and multiculturalism with others through eco-tourism projects.
