Sara grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature in a quaint little village in the south of France. There she developed a love for the outdoors, culture and the gastronomy of her region, motivating her to pursue her studies in Geography at the University of Toulouse.
Upon completion of her degree, she decided to move to Montreal. If you ask her why she left France, she will simply say: “I just wanted to see something new, something different…”.
She maintains an active taste for adventure and after working for several years with a local NGO that promotes recycling and composting she decided to go back to university and complete a Masters degree in Environmental Science, specializing in urban agriculture.
Sara is passionate about travel and meeting new people. She never misses a chance to hit the open road, and has visited many parts of Eastern Canada, the United States, and Central America.
Sara spent a year travelling around New Zealand. This trip was a game-changer for her. She spent her time living in a van, going wherever her backpacker spirit led her, following the wind, the waves and the road while discovering breathtaking landscapes, incredible beaches and meeting amazingly friendly people. It was in New Zealand that she developed a passion for surfing.
Sara loves the exhilaration and freedom of an adventure but also enjoys living with small local communities in order to truly appreciate the Kiwi culture and its people.
Sara is thrilled to join Alyra, and looks forward to helping others discover the many enchanting secrets of the beautiful green island that is New Zealand.
